A Husband
The Story
Credits for a short-film that was written, shot, edited and processed for the 48 Hour Sci-Fi Film Challenge.
The team was given specific parameters to work by. The prop, a ball bearing, follows the storyline in an inversed order to wrap up the short movie. Concept, art boarding and animation were completed in a single day.
The main challenge was the limited time available, to optimise the outcome I’ve worked at the beginning of the process with the scriptwriter and the director of photography to match the opening and the end credits with the storyline and visuals.

The typographical approach of the intro credits was inspired by the opening scene in which a spotlight shines a light on a steel ball.

The main prop, the steel ball, remains still on-screen while the scene morphs around it to represents the distorted emotional state of the protagonist.
